How we work out your candy floss and popcorn quote

We don't publish a price list. That's not to be awkward: every event really is different, and a list would only be right for some of them. What we can tell you is exactly what goes into your quote.

What is in the fee

One agreed fee covers a vintage-style stall and machine, a trained server, candy floss freshly made throughout your booking, bags for guests to take it home, and set-up and clear-away. There is no charge per serving, so nobody pays on the day. Popcorn is optional.

Five things that shape your quote

1. The type of event. A wedding, a student ball, a company launch, a school leavers' party and a village fair are all different jobs. Some need more preparation, some have special rules, and fundraisers and school fairs work differently: guests pay per stick or tub, and we give the organiser a donation or table fee.

2. Your date and the time of year. Popular dates are busy. A Saturday in wedding season isn't the same as a quiet weekday, and we may be able to say more once we know your date.

3. The hours you book. The minimum booking is two hours. Longer is possible. Tell us when your guests arrive and when the food, cake or speeches happen and we'll suggest when to start.

4. How far we travel. Travel within an hour is included. Travel may apply beyond an hour, and we put any charge in your written quote, so you see it before you decide.

5. Your guest numbers. There is no maximum number of guests: we serve everyone. A rough number helps us plan the stall and the time you'll need.

Common questions

Will I be charged on the day? No. Nobody pays at the stall at a private event.

Is there a deposit? Yes: a small deposit secures your date.

What about allergies? Candy floss has none of the 8 major allergens but is made on a line that also processes soy and milk. Caramel popcorn contains soy. Plain popcorn is the safer default.
