The Christmas party is the one night of the year when everyone lets their hair down. Whether you're planning the office do or a festive get-together at home or in a hired hall, a live candy floss and popcorn stall gives your guests something to gather round, chat about and take home. We're Candy Floss Events, a family business since 2003, based in Gateshead, and we bring our stalls to Christmas parties right across North East England.

Why candy floss and popcorn work so well at Christmas

There's something about the smell of warm caramel popcorn and the sight of floss being spun that makes people smile. It's nostalgic, it's a bit of theatre, and it suits every age, from the youngest guests to the boss. A stall also gives people a natural place to mingle, which helps when teams from different departments don't usually mix.

Our sweet popcorn is caramel, and we put a salt shaker on the stall so guests can add a little salt if they fancy a sweet and salty mix. For the candy floss, you choose one floss colour for your event, so you can match it to your festive theme or company colours.

Works and office Christmas parties

If you're organising a works Christmas party, you've already got enough on your plate. That's why our stall is fully staffed. Our team arrives up to an hour before the start to set up, serves your guests throughout your booking and clears everything away afterwards. Serving staff and clean-up are included, so there's nothing for you or your colleagues to do except enjoy it.

For fixed-fee bookings, that means unlimited servings for your guests during your booked time. Nobody has to queue for tokens or worry about running out. For larger parties, extra staff or a second stall are available at an extra charge, which keeps the queue moving when the whole company turns up at once.

We're fully insured, certificate on request, and we hold a 5-star food hygiene rating, which venues and facilities teams are always glad to hear. You can read more on our corporate events page.

Private Christmas parties

Christmas isn't only for the office. We also cover private parties, from family gatherings to festive birthdays and neighbourhood get-togethers. We work indoors and outdoors, so a marquee in the garden or a room at your local club are both fine. School Christmas fairs up to the end of term

Running a school Christmas fair between now and the end of term? We work a little differently there. Guests pay per stick or tub, and the organiser gets a donation or table fee, so the stall helps raise money rather than costing you. Find out how it works on our fundraising page.
